2. How do I book a session with you?

Booking a session with us is simple! Just follow these steps:

  1. Contact Us: Fill out the contact form on our website or email us directly at melisavictoriaphotography@outlook.com to inquire about availability.

  2. Consultation: We'll schedule a call or meeting to discuss your vision, preferences, and any specific details related to your session.

  3. Booking: Once everything is confirmed, we’ll send you a contract for a deposit to officially secure your session date.

 

3. How far in advance should I book my session?

We recommend booking at least 3-6 months in advance, especially for weddings and large events, as these tend to fill up quickly. For portrait, maternity, and newborn shoots, booking 1-2 months ahead is generally sufficient.

 

4. What is included in my photography package?

Each package varies depending on the type of session you book. Generally, our packages include:

  • A pre-session consultation

  • The designated amount of shooting time

  • High-resolution edited images delivered digitally

  • A private online gallery for viewing and sharing photos

For weddings and events, additional items such as albums, prints, and second photographers may be available for an extra cost. Please inquire about specific details when booking.

 

5. Can I customize my photography package?

Yes! We understand that every client’s needs are unique, so we offer customizable packages. Let us know your preferences, and we will tailor a package that fits your vision and budget.

 

6. Do you offer prints or albums?

Absolutely! We offer a variety of print options and high-quality photo albums to showcase your memories. You can choose from prints, canvases, photo books, and more. These can be ordered through your online gallery or during your consultation.

 

7. What happens if I need to reschedule my session?

We understand that life happens! If you need to reschedule, please give us at least 48 hours' notice. We will do our best to accommodate you on another date. Please note that rescheduling may be subject to availability, and a rescheduling fee may apply depending on the circumstances.

 

8. How long will it take to receive my photos?

Typically, you can expect to receive your edited photos within 1-2 weeks for most sessions. Weddings and events may take slightly longer, up to 4-6 weeks, depending on the size and complexity of the shoot. We always strive to deliver your photos as soon as possible while maintaining the highest quality.

 

9. Can I print my photos myself?

Yes! Once your photos are delivered in your online gallery, you are welcome to download and print them as you wish. We also offer professional printing services, which ensure that your photos are printed on high-quality materials with the best color accuracy.

 

10. Do you travel for photoshoots?

Yes, we travel for photoshoots! Whether you're planning a destination wedding, a photoshoot in a specific location, or a corporate event in another city, we're happy to discuss travel arrangements. Travel fees may apply depending on the location.

 

11. What is your photography style?

Our style is a blend of natural, candid, and timeless imagery. We focus on capturing authentic moments and emotions while ensuring that each image reflects your personal style. Whether it's a romantic wedding or a joyful family portrait, our goal is to tell your story through beautiful, meaningful photos.

13. Do you have a cancellation policy?

Yes, we have a cancellation policy in place. If you need to cancel your session, please notify us at least 48 hours in advance to avoid losing your deposit. For weddings and large events, a non-refundable deposit is required to secure the date. Please review your contract for full details on cancellations.

 

Newborn & Maternity Photography FAQs

14. Do you provide props, wraps, and outfits for newborn sessions?

Yes! For newborn sessions, we provide a variety of props, wraps, and outfits to ensure your baby looks adorable and cozy. We have an extensive selection of soft wraps, hats, headbands, and blankets in different colors and textures. These are all carefully chosen for their comfort and safety, and they help create beautiful, timeless images.

 

15. Where do newborn sessions take place?

Newborn sessions are on-location in the comfort of your own home. We understand that having a newborn can be overwhelming, so we bring everything needed to you. The familiar setting will help keep both you and your baby relaxed during the session.

 

16. What happens when you arrive for my newborn session?

When I arrive, you can feed your baby while I set up for the session. This ensures your baby is calm and settled, ready for the photoshoot. We will take breaks as needed throughout the session for feedings or diaper changes.

 

17. How old should my baby be for a newborn photoshoot?

Newborn photos are best taken within the first 10 days of life when your baby is still sleepy and very flexible, making it easier to pose them safely. However, we can accommodate slightly older babies as well, though their posing options may be a little different.

 

18. Do you offer maternity gowns for sessions?

Yes! We offer a stunning selection of maternity gowns available for your photoshoot. These gowns are designed to make you feel elegant and beautiful during your session. You can choose from various styles and colors, and we’re happy to help you select one that complements your personal style.

 

19. When should I book my maternity photoshoot?

It’s best to schedule your maternity session between 28-36 weeks of pregnancy, when your baby bump is beautifully pronounced, but you’re still feeling comfortable. As with all sessions, we recommend booking in advance to ensure availability.

20. Can my partner and children be included in the maternity or newborn session?

Absolutely! We encourage including your partner and children in your maternity or newborn photoshoot to capture these special moments as a family. We can incorporate both intimate and family-focused shots into your session.

 

21. How long do newborn or maternity sessions last?

A typical newborn session lasts between 2 to 3 hours, allowing plenty of time for feedings, diaper changes, and settling your baby. Maternity sessions typically last about an hour, depending on the number of outfit changes and the style of the shoot.

 

22. Do I need to book a separate session for maternity and newborn photos?

Maternity and newborn photoshoots are generally scheduled as separate sessions to ensure that both the pregnancy and newborn phases are captured beautifully. However, if you're interested in a combined maternity and newborn package, we can discuss the options and pricing during your consultation.

 

23. How do I prepare for my newborn or maternity photoshoot?

For newborn sessions, the main thing we need is a small, quiet space in your home where I can set up for the session. This could be a living room, bedroom, or any area with good natural light. Other than that, you don’t need to worry about bringing props—I've got everything we need for the shoot! Just have any baby care essentials, like diapers and wipes, on hand. For maternity sessions, we recommend wearing comfortable clothing leading up to the shoot to ensure you feel relaxed and confident. Don’t hesitate to bring multiple outfit choices, and we’ll help you decide the best ones for the session.

 

24. What should I expect during my newborn or maternity photoshoot?

For both newborn and maternity photoshoots, the session will be calm and relaxed. We aim to make you feel comfortable and take breaks as needed. For newborns, we prioritize their safety and comfort throughout the entire session. For maternity shoots, we’ll guide you through poses to accentuate your bump and ensure you look stunning!
